Here are some pictures of the bill signing at Walls, Mississippi on September
6. Donna Mabus took these pictures. About 150 DeSoto Countians attended
the ceremony. I asked one of the developers and the construction
manager when we might be walking onto the theme park. They said if all
went well 18-24 months. If there were some unforeseen delays, 24-36
months. In addition, a company specializing in theme park construction
will be doing the work.
They are also negotiating with a brand name company for doing the aquarium.

governor is handing one of the pens used in the signing to Bill Phillips,
president of the development company.
The governor is signing the bill. I suppose this one should have been on
top. About an hour after putting these pictures up, it dawned on me that the
governor was signing parts of his name and then presenting the pen to those
behind him. So....they are in the correct order. My brain was just
not engaged at the time I was writing the first sentence of this paragraph.
